This is a great set of figurines, 3 in all, that make up the WDCC It's a Small World set for Australia.  There is the Australia:  G'day Mate! with our Aussie friend preparing to throw a boomerang.  Then we have the Kangarro with new infant Joey.   And finally, to complete the set is our friendly Platypus as "Outback Oddity".

WDCC Pirates Jail Scene

What a great ride!  I was just in Disneyland with my daughter and we always go multiple times on this ride.  There is so much detail that you can always find something knew to see.  The set of WDCC figurines for Pirates of the Caribbean is, I think, one of the best sets.  With all the figurines together it is a large collection, but well worth it.

Artist Tim Bruckner completed this piece for release in 2008.  It is a limited edition of 750 so it can be hard to find.  It incorporates fine porcelain plussed with brass jail bars, pewter key and latchkey, pewter hooks, pewter bowls, utensils, jug and plates, metal chain and ropes.
As the flames spread throughout the city, pirates locked in the town jail are desparate to escape before their underground dungeon turns into an inferno. The local constabulary are no where to be seen. Only a mangy mutt is around the witness their plight and he holds the keys to their cells in his mouth. The pirates they to lure the dog within their reach so they can grab the keys and attempt an escape.
